Seven consecutive weekly issues of "Flying" magazine which was published by George Newnes Ltd, being No's 6 to 12 of Volume 3, published between 6th May and 17th June, 1939, so just before the outbreak of WW2. The May 20th issue has an article (1 page) on the Spitfire which would soon become so important during the Battle of Britain.
The magazines comprise 32 pages (3 copies), 36 pages (3 copies) and 44 pages (1 copy) and all of the magazines are complete with no loose pages.All of the magazines have general signs of wear and tear commensurate with age including toning and occasional small tears but no losses noted. Note that the staples are rusting in all of the magazines but are still holding, and the spines of some issues are worn.
