Blade is hand engraved KuK Marine Tegetthoff, 1909.

Wilhelm von Tegetthoff was an Austrian admiral. He commandedthe fleet of the North Sea during the Second Schleswig War and theAustro-Prussian War. He is considered to beone of the most adept naval officers of the empire due to his tacticalinventiveness, sense of command, and inspirational leadership.

As a tribute a class of dreadnought battleships were namedafter him.

Tegetthof was the most impressive and the most famousbattleship class of the Austro-Hungarian Navy.

The class was composed of SMS Viribus Unitis, SMSTegetthoff, SMS Prinz Eugen, and SMS Szent István.
