Made specifically for re-enactors, this GDFB (Get Dressed For Battle) Throwing Spearhead is crafted with a blunt tip, 3 mm rounded point. Fully functional but rounded point make it safe for HEMA, training, film and theatre. Available in 7\", 14\" (2 styles) and 19\" lengths.Spear shaft not included, sold separately. Ash staves of varying length and 1.25\" diameter and slightlytapered end are available. Just ask if you need one.

Spears were themost commonly used weapon throughout history for good reason, they were remarkably effective in both hunting and battle! The medium sized spear head is still over a foot long and in battle could be used forthrusting at closequarters or throwing, in single combat or large troop formations.The simple, effective, expedient was used throughout history with devastating effect by every major culture including Greeks, Romans, Normans, Saxons, Vikings all the way to modern times with derivations like the rifle mounted bayonet.

Comments:I got these at the request of a member of local HEMA group. There are 4 different styles made by GDFB as well as a practical axe head. Well made, especially at this price. I also have a variety of Ash spear shafts, varying lengths, 1.25\" diameter and slightly tapered toward one end. I\'ll be listing those separately. If you need one, just ask. No idea how to ship them but we can figure something out.
