Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov - Soviet commander, Marshal of the USSR, four times Hero of the Soviet Union, was also awarded many other Soviet and foreign orders and awards. During the First World War, in 1916, he fought on the Southwestern Front. For distinction in battles and capture of an enemy officer Zhukov received the St. George Crosses of the IV and III degrees. He took an active part in the Civil War and suppressed the Tambov uprising, known as the Antonov region. Then almost all the peasants of the province rebelled. For the suppression of Beetles, he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. In June 1939, Zhukov arrived in Mongolia to check where there were battles with the Japanese army on Halkin-Gol. Zhukov reported on the insolvency of the commander of the troops N.F. Feklenko and was appointed to this place. Soon the Japanese were defeated and Zhukov received the rank of army general. On the night of May 8-9, 1945, the act of complete surrender of Germany was signed. On the part of the USSR, the act was signed personally by Marshal G. K. Zhukov. In 1957, the Marshal was sent on a visit to Yugoslavia. Upon arrival home, Zhukov was dismissed from the post of Minister of Defense of the USSR, and the following year he was completely dismissed. In the post-war years, Zhukov received the nickname \"Marshal of Victory\". \"For me, the main thing was to serve the Motherland, my people. And with a clear conscience I can say: I have done everything to fulfill this duty. The days of my greatest joys coincided with the joys of the Fatherland. The anxiety of the Motherland, its losses and sorrows have always worried me more than personal ones. I have lived my life with the consciousness that I benefit the people, and this is the main thing for any life.\" (Georgy Zhukov. \"Memories and reflections\"). On November 13, 1973, Zhukov\'s wife, Galina, dies. After her death, Marshal began to feel unwell, later he had a heart attack and in May 1974 he fell into a coma.
