Photographic Lunar Atlas, University Of Chicago Press 1960 By Gerard P. in original box. A classic and rare set of lunar photographs taken at the Mount Wilson, Lick, Pic du Midi, McDonald and Yerkes photographs precede the moon landing by more than 9 years and represent an important part of the process in space exploration. Perhaps someone viewed these photos and was inspired to become a part of the a layman, looking at these photos is quite magical. They provoke wonder and awe due to their raw detail and uniqueness. Most people, even with modern technology, have probably never seen the moon this Box has some mold on outside, none on inside. I have taken care to not handle photos after touching any mold. I do think it is very cleanable and maintainable due to only being on the box. I did NOT clean it but it looks like someone did, possibly with vinegar. A few ripples on the top of the photos are complete in very good condition, with just a few foxing spots on edges. None impact photos and are largely inconsequential / barely noticeable. As you can see in photos, the paper does have a slight curve to its structure as it reaches the top of the box. This was from storage it seems. Minor but worth rips, tears, or folds (except very minor ones to bottom left and right of photos 1-3). Even the box has very few imperfections and maintains all of its original hinges, edges, and corners very well. Structurally you would like photos of any specific section, please let me know and I would be more than happy to provide some. I would probably need 96 photos to really describe this item as much as I\'d like to; but I have at least given you all the information I believe is relevant in this ex library, only one mark on a margin of the first photo describing the photo provided on package free of you,
