Offered here for your consideration is this unique one of a kind native American rattle.

This rattle is completed with peyote stitch beadwork which is tightly beaded with zero bead loss.

The rattle itself consists of a snapping turtle foot with claws. All claws are present, and the rattle is secured by deer hide and traditional tackwork.

This rattle measures 9.5\" inches long.

The only flaw worth mentioning,is that in the process of the taxidermy, one claw appears to have shifted. This can be seen in the photos, and while it does not prevent the rattle from what it is intended, i wanted to mention it. This was like this when I bought the rattle.

A truly unique piece,as I have seen numerous turtle shell rattles, but never one made from a foot like this.

Being peyote stitched, and the light sounding rattle sound this makes, this rattle was likely made for peyote ceremonies. I have owned this rattle for approximately 25 to 30 years personally in my private collection.
