This petite lamp is an stunning and extreme example of 1930\'s streamline style. While the design is similar to the iconic Markel bankers lamp, no information could be located which might provide specific provenance. The lamp has been restored and refurbished and is ready for contemporary use. The chrome plated components retain their original finish with minimal evidence of the passage of 90 years time.* The black shade has been refinished in black satin enamel. The original turn knob switched socket has been retained and bulb contacts cleaned and polished. A new insulator has been installed. Wiring has been refurbished with new vintage rayon covered cord and appointed with a new vintage style plug. This lamp utilizes a standard medium Edison base tube-shaped light bulb. I strongly recommend using an LED bulb to minimize heat transfer to the metal shade. Light bulb is not included. There are two holes in the rear of the base, most likely to facilitate optional wall mounting.Approximate dimensions are as follows:

Base: 7-1/2\" Wide X 4\" DeepNOTED FLAWS visible upon critical inspection as follows:
- Tiny spots of oxidation of the chrome finish, most noticeable on the base
- Slight distortion of the metal shade
