Peruvian Arpillera Handmade 3d Cloth Folk Art Textile Tapestry approx. 9" x 9".The technique to make Arpilleras requires much creativity, attention to detail and dedication. Each piece is made of sometimeshundreds of tiny fabric scraps that are cut just so and hand-stitchedinto place with extra embroidery to create a three-dimensional work of art. The joyous colors of flowers, produce and nature embody the Andean people’s connection with and celebration oftheir surroundings.
There are some loose treads and wear to the piece but overall, it is ingood used condition. Please see the photos.
