This is an great example of the fine hand made Peruvian reproduction pottery made by skilled Peruvian potters. Lots of color and textural interest. Red slipped clay pottery with tan details. This is an NOS New Old Stock item from a shop in Santa Fe, NM, that closed around 1985 and has been in storage since then. See the photos.

MARKINGS: The bottom has a partial and unclear stamp with a handwritten model number and artifact number in black marker. As best I can understand, the stamp, it is from a museum or government agency that has cataloged Peruvian / Chancay pottery and shows that this is an official or authorized replica. See the photos.

ORIGIN: Peru.
