This is a dress / ceremonial militia style sword from a fraternity that has been handed down in my family for generations.
Patriotic Order of the Sons of AmericaPossibly Commandery Unit located at Emmaus, Northampton County.Harvey Milton Jacob BOGERT born April 11, 1875 Salisbury Twp, PA and Died December 28,1950 Allentown, Lehigh Co, PA, son of William (b 1829) and Sarah Behly (b 1840) Lived on the famous property where Bogert\'s Bridge is still standing today.
Blade Engraved with \"Harry M.J. Bogert on front side and \"P.O.S. of A\" on the other.
Made by Horstmann of Philadelphia. Age of sword is between 1890 and 1935?Excellent condition with the scabbard. I also have the proven family lineage to go with it.
Bust of George Washington as the pommel. Overall length is 34 inches.
