Paris EXHIBITION 1889 ADVERT Silk & WOOL Damask Heraldic Fabric Samples X 40:

This is a rare find - fabric samples from 1889 with a Paris Exhibition advert ( sadly this has a small rectangle missing as shown ) . This advert measures 54x44 cms

There are 40 rectangular sample of various Victorian fabrics. Wool, silk,jacquard, damask. One pink piece of wool damask has a few moth holes but everything else is in good condition. The smallest piece which is red and bears Queen Victorias crown and was made for her 50th jubilee in 1887 measures 12x7 cms. The green acorn piece of silk damask measures 34x9 cm. there is also a length of black mourning ribbon plus 40 different sample which are mainly rectangular. some are plain, some patterned etc.

Altogether there's about 45 items. most of the items have an original paper tag on the reverse.

this is being sold as a collectors job lot.

I also have other sewing items on this week from the same period and will combine items to reduce postage costs.
