Diese außergewöhnliche Serie wurde anlässlich des Jubiläumsturniers der Copa America 2016in den USA herausgegeben.

Die CopaAmérica Centenario war eine Sonderausgabe der Copa América um die Ausspielungder südamerikanischen Kontinentalmeisterschaft im Fußball. Das Turnier fand–anlässlich des 100-jährigen Bestehens des südamerikanischenFußballverbandes CONMEBOL– erstmals außerhalb von Südamerika statt undwurde in den USA ausgetragen. Neben den zehn Teilnehmern der CONMEBOL nahmenauch sechs Teilnehmer der CONCACAF am Turnier teil.

Nur für das Jubiläum haben die (süd-)amerikanischen Fußballverbände dieses Turnier terminiert und ausgetragen,obwohl auch 2015 eine Copa America ausgespielt wurde und eigentlich einVier-Jahres-Rhythmus eingehalten wird bei den Turnieren. Die nächste reguläreCopa America ist dann wieder 2019, in Brasilien. Sieger der Copa America 2016wurde übrigens Chile, im Finale gegen Argentinien, genau wie schon 2015!

Die Serie umfasst insgesamt 452 Sticker, die in ein 64Seiten dickes Album eingeklebt werden können. The CopaAmérica Centenario was an international men\'s association footballtournament that was hosted in the United States in 2016. The competition was acelebration of the centenary of CONMEBOL and the Copa América, and was thefirst Copa América hosted outside South America.

The tournament was the 45th edition of Copa Américasince its inception in 1916. It was held as part of an agreement betweenCONMEBOL (the South American football confederation) and CONCACAF (the footballconfederation for North and Central America and the Caribbean) as a specialedition between the usual four-year cycle, and featured an expanded field of 16teams (an increase from the usual 12), with all ten teams from CONMEBOL and sixteams from CONCACAF.
