Grade FN 6.0 Year 1979 Publisher John Benson

This is a mid grade item. It will have enough minor defects that it is in clearly worse condition than a brand new freshly published comic, magazine, or book. Allowed defects for this grade include: a spine split of less than half an inch, minor water spotting or other residue, impacted corners, and an accumulation or spine stresses that may break color. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor defects or one or two moderate defects.

Description

Panels #1 begins with a Will Eisner Spirit cover, and features: Will Eisner, in an 18 page reminiscence, discusses his formative years, his aspirations, the days of the comic book \"shops\" in the forties, the artists he worked with, and his creation of the Spirit; extensively illustrated with rare Eisner art. Also in this issue, Jules Feiffer talks candidly about his apprenticeship to Eisner, and discusses many of specific Spirit stories and his own comic strip, Clifford. Finally, Bill Griffith, creator of Zippy the Pin Headm, takes \"A Sour Look at the Comix Scene.\" 32 pages. b&w. 8 1/2 x 11.
