Here is a cool, vintage modular storage unit from Palaset of Finland (Treston oy Finland). I assume that this dates from the early 1970’s as I have seen a catalog from 1972 that featured this series of modular storage units.The outer box measures 13 1/2” cubed and has a molded integral horizontal shelf. It is made of a chocolate brown colored plastic in it’s original, as-found condition and has wear that you would expect with it’s age. There are scuffs and abrasions, rubbing to the finish, a few small spatters of white paint, etc.There are four removable bins, also made of plastic. Three of them were dark brown before painting and one was yellow. Now there are two in yellow with yellow interior and two in citrus green with brown interior. There are chrome drawer pulls with some abrasions. Green bins have overspray inside the bins. One yellow bin has cosmetic wear, stains, paint residue to interior. One yellow bin has some damage to top of front from some sort of prior impact but does not effect functionality, just adds to it’s life story in my opinion. Three of the bins still have label remains underneath but one does not.
