Pair of French Mid Century Maison Bagues Parrot Wall Sconces - The Real Deal:

This was an estate pick up from a couple who were stationed in Europe through the 1950s-70s. These were displayed in their New York home sometime back in the 80-90s and were appraised.

French, mid-20th century. Pair of Maison Bagues gilt metal, molded and cut crystal 2-light parrot figural wall sconces depicting a perched parrot in profile among a flowering vine supporting two candle arms. Approx. h. 25.5", w. 14", d. 6"

Original wiring and sockets, NO leaves missing, NO flower petals missing. Some discoloration behind birds, perch and leaves. Great patina throughout.

An exact pair (missing pieces) sold for $4,500 on sale back in Oct 2020.
