From my own collection, this is a black lacquered box, enhanced with a finely detailed ginko leaf on the lid. This was hand crafted in San Francisco by Pacific Connections. The tag says it was made using a centuries old tradition of hand pouring several layers of lacquer, each one individually hand polished. This creates the deep, rich patina you can see. This piece measures 6 x 3 x 2\". It has been kept in a cabinet and never used, so is in like new condition, complete with original tag.
