She also worked with her brother Arthur Miller on several of his works, including The American Clock, After the Fall and The Crucible.
She also appeared in many films, such as The Goddess, The Arrangement, The Peacemaker and The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. She voiced Tanana in the animated film Brother Bear. She was nominated for an Emmy Award for her role in the TV movie The American Woman: Portraits of Courage.
She was also a familiar face on many soap operas, such as Search for Tomorrow, The Edge of Night, How to Survive a Marriage, As the World Turns and One Life to Live. She played memorable characters such as Andrea Whiting, Gwendolyn Lord Abbott and Lila Garfield.
She was still active at the age of 99 and received many awards and honors for her work. She was a founding member of the Actors Studio and a lifetime member of the Actors' Equity Association. She was also involved in many charitable causes and supported the arts.
