I have been servicing Olympia typewriters for over 60 years. I owned a typewriter shop in Chicago for 40 years and was an Olympia authorized dealer and service center. I really know these wonderful typewriters, I have personally dismantled this beauty, cleaned, oiled and adjusted to factory specs, new platen and ribbon installed. This Olympia came to me in very clean condition and shows no signs of ware that I can see. The paint is nearly flawless, I do not touch up or repaint anything.This SM 3 is all original, just like it left the factory in 1957. Ready for another 60 years of service or display in a museum, it's that nice. Many regard to SM 3 as the finest portable typewriter ever made with all metal construction, cast iron frame and spring steel keys. All heavy duty construction, built to last a lifetime. I am guaranteeing this SM 3 for one year, the same guarantee that came with it from the factory. If not completely satisfied for any reason return within 30 days for a refund.
