COOL piece of antique literature/ephemera. Folded the brochure measures about 6x6\" --- wow, this is pretty amazing! I have researched for hours trying to find this exact train, and was unsuccessful. If you have any information please contact me, I would greatly appreciate it.
\"The Royal Limited\" appears to have been part of the Royal Blue Line. I believe this brochure was printed and intended for the First Class passengers. It is fancy and the photos inside are lithograph, while the information pages are, perhaps, block print? The slogan of the day for this line was \"Finest Daylight Train in the World\" --- The first litho is two pages and shows the entire train. Which four of the cars are PULLMAN \"Astoria, Countess, Queen & ???\". The tender was #1319 and the locomotive had three large wheels. There is no front view so I do not know what # it was.
Page 1 starts with \"THE IMPERIAL TRAIN of the famous Royal Blue Line, running between New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, is presented to the public as the climax of the railway car building of the nineteenth century...realizing the value and class of travel between the nation\'s metropolis and its capital...\"
This \"What They Think Of It\" is filled with opinions of extremely influential people of the day. These letters were written in 1899 and reprinted in this brochure. Included but not limited to:

The brochure also includes the Schedules and times of service. With the most convenient stations being New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington. The additional photos throughout the book are also lithograph style.
The inside back cover is printed \"POOLE BROS. CHICAGO.\"
The book is held together with light blue string, and it coordinates with the light blue on the cover.
I believe this to be an ultra rare brochure of a time gone by. This cool book is a treasure from the past, and the perfect gift for any collector.
