This is our very own, EASY assembly, printed circuit board version,
of our replica 1-Tube Radio Shack Science Fair P-Box kit. Our NEW, exclusive design, allows operation from a single 1.5 volt battery! Watch our product video here
This kit utilizes fixed tuning inductors and variable tuning capacitor, instead of the loopstick tuning. This design actually provides EASIER tuning. The PC board includes the option for loopstick tuning. See our other listings, for a vintage 3-terminal loopstick coil, sold separately.This is a simple, one tube radio circuit. The kit provides performance similar to a crystal radio set. Unless you live near a radio station, you will need a long wire (outdoor preferable) antenna, and ground connection.
Kit is powered by a single 1.5 volt AA battery, not included. The 22.5 volt B+ voltage is generated by our additional circuitry on the board. Kit comes with ALL parts shown, including tested tube, no warranty on vacuum tube. High quality fiberglass circuit board. Single sided design without plated through holes, so it is easy for the beginner to solder and unsolder. Includes nylon hardware for board support, which will not scratch surfaces. The board has rounded corners, and you can wrap colored tape around it (not supplied), to give it an enclosure look. Instructionsaresupplied on a CD-R. Ships by First Class Mail in a padded envelope.NOTE: Photos show earliergeneration board, you will receive current revision board. Current board measures 3.9 by 3.9 inches square.

You can also assemble the kit with a battery holder, in place of the
