This 747 Shuttle Carriers of America patch was carried aboard NASA’s 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft. It was flown aboard 747 SCA #905 during its 804th flight on March 29, 2012 which was an aircrew proficiency flight from NASA Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB.
747 SCA #905 was delivered to NASA on July 18, 1974 and began carrying the space shuttle 3 years later. With over 800 NASA flights and 200+ ferry flights to its credit, 905 was used to deliver Space Shuttle’s Discovery, Enterprise and Endeavour to their new museum homes and is now on display in Houston, Texas. This patch is one of rare few that were flown on the 747 SCA and comes with a certificate of authenticity and a 5 x 7 photo of 747 SCA #905 in flight.
