PAIR 1940 NEW YORK WORLDS FAIR RUBY FLASHED SOUVENIR VASES TRYLON & PERISPHERE

This pair if glass vases was part of our huge Worlds Fair and Exposition Collection. We mostly collected 1933/34 and 1939/40 items but also have many pieces from much earlier to much later Fairs. We offered the entire collection as a buy it now on last Fall with no takers and have since decided to piece it out. My husband, seller named Jal12147 and I will be listing pieces till it’s all sold.

These are clear glass vases with ruby flashing (coating) on the center section, a transparent red tone. There are gold-leaf stripes on each vase and the lettering is also in gold. The lettering on each reads “NEW YORK WORLDS FAIR 1940” and has a gold Trylon and Perisphere on each side of the phrase. The lettering, stripes and the Trylon and Perisphere on each side are all in very good condition, as is the ruby flashing. There are no chips, cracks or nicks on either piece. They are both in excellent condition. Each vase is 4” tall, 2-1/4” across the top and the bases are each 1-3/4”.
