In several other locations, I’m selling pairs of really wonderful tektites, but from the point of a single tektite, this is without doubt the best. Tektites are lumps of natural glass created by the impact of giant asteroids into the Earth. This particular kind is called an indochitite, and it was created 75 million years ago when an asteroid struck the Earth and sprayed southeast Asia with this very dark and heavy glass, which fell in a wide range of liquidy shapes. That makes sense, because it was falling down while it was molten. It’s pretty obvious that this piece was a blob of glass. This is a beauty, in great shape, displays very well, and if you want one great sample tektite, this is the one to buy. $69, shipping included, is an honest price for this.
