Offered for sale are the original, authentic U. S. Postal Service Commemorative Black Heritage Stamp pins of Mary McLeod Bethune from the first series of postage paraphernalia manufactured until 1990 that was offered to the public before an Act of Congress halted their production and sale. Although Black Heritage Stamp pins are being sold today as those once sold the postal service-they are not. They lack the uniqueness and quality of the metal workmanship found in the original base metal pins. I offer the original pins crafted from a base metal that looks identical to the matching stamps’ dimension, shape and coloring. Many of the current commemorative pins offered for sale consist only of a Black Heritage paper stamp encased in a plastic sheet with an attached safety pin or poor reproductions. The pins I am offering for sale are of the original base metal design! In 1990 I purchased the remaining inventory of the Commemorative Black Heritage Stamp paraphernalia from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Post Office.
