Original US Military Wooden Ammo Crate, New York Arsenal, Springfield Armory From Bannerman\'s Island Arsenal or W. Stokes Kirk in Philadelphia where my Grandfather got it filled with parts back in the 1950s.Good crate.
Stencils on partial top read \"Springfield Armory, Springfield Mass.\"On one of the sides it is stenciled \"Arsenal (Street Address) New York\"(The \"1879 Tool\") in white is actually chalk and could be cleaned off.
There is a paper tag nailed on one side that reads \"1650 Screwdrivers Mod. 79 Serv\" This is how the crate was repurposed by the government after it was used as an ammunition crate. It was filled with the Trapdoor Model 1879 tools.
Please keep in mind I have to ship this and that cost is getting more expensive. If you live on the West side of the US these can cost over $50 to ship. Shipping isn\'t actually free, it\'s just included in the price. Then there\'s fees, taxes, etc.
*NOTE: You get the exact crate photographed. If you live on the East Coast to the Mississippi River I will entertain offers for a lower price because the shipping isn\'t as expensive.
