Original US Army WW2 Era M1943 Field Jacket M43 OD7 Great Condition 36L:

Original WW2 issued M1943 field jacket. This is a 2nd pattern jacket, where the “how to wear” tag has written instructions and an illustrations. These jackets had this type of tag from late 44 to early 45.

This particular jacket is in fantastic shape. No cuts, tears or rips. The cuffs are in good shape and not fraying. All buttons are original to the jacket.

If you flip the sleeves inside out, there are threading remnants from Air Force rank insignia (meaning the jacket was re-issued after the war to the Air Force in 1947+). It also looks like there were regular chevron outlines as well. These thread holes do not appear on the outside of the sleeve.

The only defect to this jacket are the small grease marks on the backside of one sleeve.

Jackets in as good condition are rare as they were not only re-issued, but used as workwear by veterans after the war and for years on.
