Original German WW2 RG34 tool for the K98 rifle. As the war entered the late stage, this simplified final pattern of RG34 tool was introduced in order to expedite German production. The "reinforcing" folds found on earlier pattern tools was forwent by most manufacturers for a simplified single stamping (flat) and most tools were no longer marker marked in order to simplify production. Very similar pattern tools have been found in "CNX", Hawig and Mundlos, but based on the characteristics of this tool, it would appear to be G.Appel or Mundlos production. Overall in very good condition; the tool is in untouched condition having sat in an RG34 kit since the war, so it's a little dirty with some light spots of surface oxidation from long term storage; that should clean up with some oil and fine steel wool. Very hard to find tool nowadays and great for completing your RG34 kit as this tool is almost always missing.Thanks for looking.
