IMAGE #8 Antique GOOD FOR ONE DRINK saloon trade pocket mirror from the once thriving and wild GOLD COUNTRY locale of San Andreas, California (CALAVERAS COUNTY).

These mirrors were given to patrons of the COURT HOUSE SALOON and served as advertising and supposedly could be redeemed for a drink, but who would give one of these jewels up…..likely not many making them more of an advertising tool for the saloon.

There was a series of these numbered #1-10. They are quite scarce, and seldom come up for sale anymore; however, they become RARE when they are in a higher status of condition which this one is, and the others we are offering in this desirable series. The colors are still bright, the celluloid is still in nice overall condition and the original mirror is intact - not cracked or broken.

They each feature a saloon girl in various stages of dress and some in provocative posses.

Manufactured in Oakland, California by JORDAN PTG CO. as marked on the edge - see photos.
