This knife is an Old Bonsa Solingen Germany Mariner\'s 1 Blade Knife with a Marlin Spike and is marked Rostfrei. NOTE: The knife has been used and maybe a lot because the Marlin Spike when in the open position does have some front to back movement and some side to side movement, so when it is open it is NOT like a knife blade where you would expect it to lock in, so to speak, and have no movement, it does have some movement. I don\'t think this makes the knife unusable or worthless, but I mention it here so it will be understood that the movement will not be a reason for return or refund.Features:
1.The master blade is 3-1/8\"; the marlin spike is also 3-1/8\"; and the overall knife is 4-3/8\" closed plus the lanyard ring (no lanyard included), the ring is in good working condition.2. The knife has brass side liners and the lanyard ring is also brass.3. The scales are a dark composite and have some normal wear for a knife this age (see photos).4.The knife blade is tight and has no wiggle and most of the snap opening and closing that they came with. The blade may have been sharpened, but if so, not to the extent of damage (see photos). The marlin spike does have some movement (see the note up above).5. The master blade front tang has \"Bonsa Solingen Germany\" and the back has \"Rostfrei\" with a foot kicking a soccerball (see photos).6. There is no sheath or box.
(Note: this knife has been wiped down with a dry, soft cloth but we did not try to remove any patina, the cleaning will be left to the purchaser. Any defects we observed were listed above, but we do not set a condition level. You must see all of the photos which are considered a part of this description (use the zoom feature), and make your own decision regarding blade, and knife conditions; ask questions before you decide to purchase because once shipped, the knife cannot be returned or refunded, and see the note above concerning the Marlin Spike).
This is a vintage knife made in Germany. It is good looking, nice sized and effective, (see note on Marlin Spike) and has no damage that I can see beyond what I have listed, just normal aging, and has all of the quality built into a Bonsa Knife made in Germany.
