Offered here is a simply gorgeous large black pillow with hand embroidered floral design – it measures 22” x 18” x 6”.The top surface is a silky material with no snags, it feels fairly thick and is very smooth.The embroidery threads too have a silky feel and may be silk with shiny quality.Some of the gold-yellow threads in the edging have little blips as though young fingers may have plucked at the threads, but they are not a distraction.The back of the pillow is a honeycomb design of a strange black material and it has horizontal iridescent threads that appear about every half inch.There is no zipper and the “stuffing” feels to be small pieces of foam with slight crunchiness when pinched or fluffed.That type stuffing was used extensively in the 1950-60’s before the arrival of more modern material.The person from whom I purchased this pillow said there was a matching fringed piano scarf that had previously been sold when they sold the piano (SIGH!!). There are no discernable odors, damage, discoloration or repairs.
