ORIGINAL WORLD WAR TWO U.S. NAVY N-2 RAIN PARKA JACKET. This jacket is made of an olive drab color rubberized material. The full nomenclature tag is present and is marked "NAVY DEPARTMENT NXSX 55552 SIZE LARGE". Researching the contract number reveals that this jacket was manufactured by the Converse Rubber Company between April - December of 1944. The front left side of the chest is marked U.S.N. It features the original drawstrings at the hood, chest and waist. All of the adjustment buttons are present at both of the cuffs. The jacket is in overall very good condition without any rips, tears, holes, fray or repairs. It does show some wear, to include fade & soil due to field use. Measurements are armpit to armpit - 26 inches, sleeve length - 27 inches, overall length - 27 inches.
