The pictures show larger views of some sample pages of this Old Unused Lowney's Candy & Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection Advertising Premium “Yesterday and Today” Sports Trading Card Album. This album was offered as a premium for a series of (48) sports trading cards that were found inside 1940s or 1950s Cracker Jack boxes in Canada that were put out by the Walter M. Lowney Company when they were under contract with The Cracker Jack Company in Chicago to manufacture and distribute their product outside of the United States.

The card series or set has (24) different sports with a “yesterday” card of the sport in earlier days, and a “today” card with the sport from the 1940s or 1950s. The set was made with both rounded corners and with square corners, so there are actually two sets with the same card images that were made. The square corner cards fit in the slots of the album better. The album has designated spaces to place all (48) of the cards in the set. The sports that the cards cover include the following:

Bicycle Racing, Snow Shoe Racing, Ice Hockey, Boxing, Auto Racing, Basketball, Bowling, Lacrosse, Motor Boat Racing, Croquet, Rowing & Sculling, Skiing, Softball, Swimming, Lawn Tennis, Polo, Baseball, Speed Ice Skating, Wrestling, Badminton, Track & Field, Football, Golf, and Archery.

The trading cards (NOT INCLUDED HERE) have a colorful sports scene with single or team players in action on the front. On the back there is a number, the series name, the sport name, whether it was a “yesterday” or a “today” card, a paragraph of History, and credits below. Besides the paragraph the cards are also marked as follows:

The album cover has small illustrations of the sports Baseball, Skiing, Lawn Tennis, and Ice Hockey, and it is framed with Maple leaves. The album also has colorful old advertising for both Cracker Jack, and Lowney's candy products. Some packaging is pictured in color. The inside front cover has a boy with a Cracker Jack box and instructions to save and trade the cards. The back cover pictures Lowney's Candy bars. The inside back cover has an illustration of the Montreal, Canada Lowney's Candy Factory. The advertising inside include the following:
