Name: NUEVO MERCURIO

Place of fall: About 10 km N. of the village of Nuevo Mercurio, Zacatecas, Mexico, 250 km SW. of Monterrey.

Date of fall: December 15, 1978, 1850 hrs.

Class and type: Chondrite (H5)

Number of individualspecimens: More than 300 andover 5 kg recovered.

Circumstances of fall: A bright fireball, traveling NE. to SW. and visible over a radius of at least 200 km, exploded over north-central Mexico and scattered meteorites over an elliptical area more than 10 km in length.

What\'s Special:This meteorite is more than 95% crusted and has a fun shape. The three \"dots\" on one of the corners makes it look (to me) like a little porcupine.

Provenance: Ron Hartman, a very well respected collector and dealer who was also one of the the early founders of the IMCA.

2) Packaging materials used to ship item back must be of same or better quality as materials used to ship item to Buyer.
3) Items received as damaged must be documented, and pictures sent to SkyFall Meteorites prior to return shipment.
