November 1973 Marvel Comics Amazing Spider-Man #126 in Fine Plus (F+) Condition: $50.00
This is a November 1973 Marvel Comics Amazing Spider-Man #126 in Fine Plus (F+) Condition Noticeable Defects being a front cover dent, a blunt lower right corner, some cover denting back cover, a small water stain lower left back cover and tanning pagesWhen you\'re 126 issues into a run, there\'s gonna be a few issues that don\'t quite capture the imagination as well as others. Case in point: The Amazing Spider-Man #126 featuring The Kangaroo, last seen in ASM #81. Well, Gerry Conway decided he needed to come back and get revenge and that\'s totally what this issue is about, starting with power augmentation but here\'s a lesson no Marvel Villain learns - if your powers are worthless, making them stronger is no asset and you stand a good chance of never being seen again, at least in the classic era. Like The Kangaroo, who goes out as he came in: with no one caring. A lot of personal Spidey stuff rounds out the issue. Spidey and the Torch work on the Spider-Mobile. Peter is behind on rent because Harry Osborn wants to be the Goblin. John Jameson is having trouble adjusting to not being the Moon Wolf. JJJ is mad at Spidey for beating up his Moon Wolf son. Mary Jane dumps Harry because she\'s not into Super Villains. Aunt May is still living with Doc Ock. No rest for Spidey coming up, it seems. The Amazing Spider-Man #126 grades in Fine Plus (F+) Condition with the Noticeable Defects being a small water stain on the back cover, which is the most egregious defect and stops this issue from grading higher, though the colors and pages look fine. The back cover also has some denting and a stress line upper left spine. The front cover has a single dent and a blunt lower right corner. None of these items detract from how well this comic displays or reads, though the water stain is noticeable enough. This would make a fine reading copy or a solid Bronze Age collectible that is becoming increasingly hard to find as the years move on. A Note About Comics:Though we have many years of comic book experience, we are not professional graders and comic book grading is a very subjective thing. Professional outfits like CGC state that if you were to submit the same book multiple times for grading it would not necessarily receive the same grade because everyone sees something different. That being said, we\'ve attempted to err on the side of caution. Our grades, in the majority of cases, are at least a half grade lower than what we feel they actually are to make sure anyone who orders from us is happy with their purchase. The grades were determined using Overstreet\'s comic book grading guide as well as the comic book grading guide. The prices were determined using the Online Comic Price Guide and Comic Book Realm\'s excellent price guide to reflect the entire range of pricing differences.
