The piece is formed of white glazed bone china and depicts a mother deer and her fawn . The piece is a First Edition introduced for Mother's Day 1974, one in a series of 2,800. The figurine is marked Noritake Mother's Day 1974 First Edition, One of 2,800 Bone China Japan.
