I don\'t know if this design is purely abstract or it represents lightbulbs? spark plugs? or what. It displays very fine workmanship and a precision of detail to make any quilter envious. The panel is all hand sewn with about 10 stitches to the inch but the top and bottom edges are secured by machine. I suspect this was done after the mola was removed from its garment to prevent possible fraying. It shows no soiling or any other problems and actually no discernable fading. Many of the attachment threads and basting stitches remain. Looks like it has 3 full layers of cotton fabric plus inserts for more colors. It is about 14\" x 19\". If any mola expert can identify the major elements of this design please message me. This is a collector-grade example. U.S. buyers please. [Boston Primitive]
