A fantastic original black and white group photo of Oxford University\'s Wadham College Keble College 1940 Rugby Team. Nice composition with a well posed group of fifteen young men in formal dress with a gothic style building backdrop. Crisp details, a fascinating piece of history with period fashion. The photograph is mounted to a matte board which has been hand painted with the crests of the University. The names of each person are hand written below the photo. The photograph has been framed under glass in a period solid wood frame.The frame measures 22.75 inches long, 19 inches high, 0.50 inch deep. The photograph measures 14.25 inches by 11.5 inches. Good condition, there is light foxing to matte, surface wear and scuffs, small loss to the frame, but no issues that overly detract from the presentation. Newly backed and sealed with metal wire for hanging. Please review all photos for additional assessment.Ready to hang and be appreciated, looks great with other period sports and trophy items.
