Ex-library (US Navy Hydrographic Office Library with stamps present and Unclassified written in pencil on the wrappers). Wrappers worn with some shelf-wear to the extremities present. Book is free of ownership marks. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. This booklet has two primary objectives: 1. To furnish Fleet and Force Commanders with information on the effectiveness and suitability of various concealment measures, and guidance in the selection of measures most suited to a particular vessel operating in a particular area. 2. To provide the techniques whereby each field activity, or individual vessel, will be able to apply specified concealment measures without requiring outside assistance. To achieve the subtle concealment effects specified in the submarine measures, special painting techniques are necessary. These techniques are explained and illustrated for the first time in this publication.
