Rare find….Seminole Indian couple

The male doll is approximately 7.25” tall, is constructed of Palmetto bark and has many intricate features. His eyes are beads on white thread . His hat has a row of stitching about 3/4 of an inch up from the outer rim. It has a decorative ribbon above the row of stitching that has tiny nails going through dark beads that fasten it to the hat. The same ribbon encircles his neck , cross-crosses across his torso and wraps around his waist with a tiny nail going through a dark bead to fasten it. He wears a jacket and has arms and hands with individual fingers .

The female doll stands about 7” tall , is constructed of Palmetto bark , has her long hair pulled up and back and tied together at the top. She wears earrings that are black beads that are attached with tiny nails. Her eyes are beads on top of white thread. Her nose is stitched with beige colored thread and her mouth is stitched with beige and white thread. She wears many beads around her neck and she wears a two-piece dress that has panels of beige, green, pink blue and plum sewn together.
