Nasty Antique Hand Made Frontier-Civil War? Indian? Fighting Knife-Great Sheath:

We have a very interesting and primitive antique frontier fighting knife that is 18 1/2 inches long with a thick 12 and 3/4-inch hand forged carbon steel blade made from a file. You can cut down a small tree with this baby so I hate to think what it could do with a human being.
The knife has a wood handle with an iron ferrule and comes with its ancient and original copper riveted leather sheath that fits the knife like a glove.
The knife has some weight to it and is a great example of a blacksmith made knife from a file and would make a great educational tool
Possibly Native American or Confederate owned at one time, but no way to know for sure.
We doubt you will see another one like it again.
