Nantasket Clovelly 1876 Seaweed, Seashells, Pearls Transferware 6 Pieces S8830:

• These are in GOOD CONDITION for their age (140+/- years). There is a lot of crazing and discoloration from age, and there also is a small chip on the underside rim of one of the larger plates (see photos), but it is not noticeable from the front. These are all RARE PIECES, just waiting for a new home.
  
• This is a trulydelightful and early example of Ridgway’s Aesthetic Black Transferware Nantasket Clovelly Pattern.
• Thepattern features a marine border of Seashells and Seaweed hooked together bystrands of pearls.
  
• Nestled in the well of the piece are a variety of seashellswith sprigs of seaweed as the backdrop.
• Asnoted above, there is a small chip on the underside of the rim of one of the larger plates and some agediscoloration and crazing on all of the pieces.
• In this SET, you will receive:
  
• 2 SAUCERS: Approximately 4 7/8" Diameter
• 2 SMALL BOWLS: Approximately 4 13/16" Diameter x 1" High
• 2 SALAD PLATES: Approximately 7 3/8" Diameter.
