Up for offer are 2 specimens of the rare meteorite, Northwest Africa 1877. The NWA 1877 meteorite was found in 2003 in Northwest Africa. It is classified as a very rare HED Achondrite Olivine Diogenite. These are genuine meteorite specimens, each consisting of a fragment weighing approx. 1 gram housed in a 1\" round gem jar (2 grams total for the pair of specimens). These specimens were obtained from the Hupé Collection and will come with the original ID cards. The specimen will also come with an ID card stating it is from my collection, that serves as my personal certificate of authenticity. Please note that the original Hupe ID cards states the original specimen weights were 1.03g & 1.04g, but my scale shows 1 gram each (2 grams total). (ruler and penny not included with item).
