We do have a little French bulldog-so while all attempts are taken to ensure no errant hairs have made their way onto this item-it is a possibility-so if you or someone in your home are highly allergic this may not be a good source for you. He also attends doggie daycare on a pretty regular basis-so while we do not own a cat there is a very remote possibility that another dog may transfer a cat hair to our dog. WE DO NOT OWN A CAT! From a recent estate sale and many other candles listed that were stored in this same original store display box......WOWIE!!!!!! Original 1950s lot of 8 close to mint ~ stored and sold with the original retail store display card box and marked on the side as shown with 137 Rudolph and hand written in pencil with 12 candles in the blank section on the front of the box ~ each candle does have the original paper Gurley label on the bottom in the older red script lettering ~ reindeers measure a touch over 3" and approximately 2"x1" from the bottom ~ this is a very-very difficult item to come across.......
~ Overall condition in amazing for the age. Please remember these are approximately 65-70 yrs old so do not expect these to be in "perfect condition". While there are very minor surface scratches/these are probably from either being handled on a very minor basis or from storage. None of these candles have ever been exposed to any daylight and none have been lit. They were properly and carefully stored in an area that was cool so there is not damage or signs of melt in any way-shape-or form. The box is as it was presented at the estate sale...meaning the family member that priced this lot-unfortunately, or fortunately, taped the box with packing tape. It did prevent people from rummaging around inside the box but also-the box now has tape along the sides and edges as shown in photos. I have done some quick research and this appears to be easily removed with a blow-dryer. I have made no efforts to remove the tape and will leave that project to the new owner of these special items! There is obvious wear to the box at the front edges/tear at front left upper of box and an uglier and larger tear to the top upper right of the box as shown in a couple of photos. I do not believe I have missed noting anything-and if I have-it certainly was not intentional!
