After a promising start, the brand went from strength to strength until it changed ownership in 2018. Currently the items are manufactured in Naples by Maiora Pen Factory. Nettuno is one of the historical brands of Italy, perhaps the first fountain pen brand in Italy. A propaganda brochure made in 1911 is known in which it presented the logo of the Nettuno fountain (god of the sea) in the Plaza Mayor of Bologna.
