NAVAJO 1ST PHASE REVIVAL SILVER \"CONCHA\" CLIP EARRINGS 1940S TUCSON ESTATE:

From a Catalina Foothills estate in Tucson some years ago is this uncommon pair of Navajo 1st Phase revival silver earrings. The I believe 1940’s or or perhaps earlier 1950\'s ornaments comprise primal concha like silver plates with chisel cut decorative embellishment along their slightly dapped outer edges. They were meant to recall the look of 19th and early 20th Century tribal silver work and are currently with their original trader supplied plated clip fittings. Weight is very good for the form at about 11.4 total grams on my portable digital scale. Condition is quite fine with an aura of time to the silver surfaces. Be aware I have avoided every urge to refresh away or \"improve\" upon any natural toning - you want that done you do it. One plate has a small very minor ancient edge bump at about 7 o\'clock, an unobtrusive nitpicking mention I\'m making simply for absolute accuracy. The clip fittings still work exactly as they should. In fact, all typical and expected signs previous ear duty simply validate the history. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition. Size of one is about 1 9/16 in. vertical and 1 1/8 in horizontal. The other is about 1 19/32 in. vertical and 1 1/8 in. horizontal (the very slight difference accounted for by their hand crafting). - and yes, they will be noticed. If you prefer vintage and a road less travelled, or simply wish an immediate improvement to the ambiance of each day, these will have great meaning for you.
