This is an amazing pattern and it was found in York County Pennsylvania. A stunning princess feather medallion applique. The center design is surrounded by album applique blocks and framed with a vining border. The feathers have a little hook on the ends which is so different. c 1850s Measures 98 x 94 inches Fine hand quilting at 12-14 stitches per inch. The patterns include hearts, flowers and all sorts of motifs. In turkey red and overdye green. The applique is hand sewn. Possibly never washed. Some age spotting tanning. A few color lift spots.
