This sale is for a rare original antique illustrated The Muralo Company Mural-Tex Textured & Relief folding advertising brochure. The brochure is marked in part as follows: MURAL-TEX. FOR TEXTURED AND RELIEF DECORATION. MURAL-TEX IS MANUFACTURED IN DRY POWDER FORM, AND SIMPLY REQUIRES MIXING WITH ORDINARY COLD WATER TO PREPARE IT FOR IMMEDIATE USE. THE MIXTURE IS APPLIED TO WALL OR CEILING SURFACES WITH SUITABLE BRUSH. THE MURALO COMPANY, INC. STATEN ISLAND-NEW YORK. © 1927 BY THE MURALO COMPANY, INC. PRINTED IN U.S.A. The brochure includes several color sample illustrations. The brochure measures roughly 5 15/16” x 3 3/8” when folded and 8 15/16” x 13 1/2” when fully opened. This brochure was removed from within an advertising scrapbook where it has been stored for roughly the last 90-100 years. The brochure has aging, yellowing, edge wear, scratches, bumped corners, wrinkles and/or crease marks, manufacturing/printing imperfections, and a few small and large tears and/or splits along the folds of the pages. The item was attached to the scrapbook page using two circular tabs (half of each tab was adhered to the page and the other half was adhered to the back page of the item). This created a hinge-like effect that made it possible to still read the material inside. Part of both of these circular tabs is still adhered to the back page of the brochure.
