This vintage Motorola Model 5M1U radio is a gem from the 1950s. Made in the United States, it is a collectible piece for radio enthusiasts. Not known if the radio is in working condition but has been well-maintained over the years. It comes with all original parts and has a unique design that will add charm to any room. The Motorola brand is known for its quality and this radio is no exception. A must-have for any collector or lover of vintage electronics.

A very clean example. Case in excellent plus condition. Metal and plastic in fine undamaged condition, no dents, cracks, etc. Front swing up door opens easily and locks down with no issues. Handle good, hinges good has not been tested. Very neat and clean inside, all original. Color is an attractive dark green. Battery compartment clean, no corrosion or rust. I would say this example would display beautifully. I believe it has been stored since the 1950's in a dry closet. The radio operates on AC 120 volts as well as on batteries for that summer trip to the beach. Has all four orig. tubes inside plus the cord for plug in operation. Otherwise, for portable use the radio takes one "B" battery plus two "A" batteries as listed on the battery compartment instructions. Very cool unique design. The date inside the radio case states manufactured April, 1950. What a perfect gift for someone born in April 1950.
