Up for sale from my personally collection is a mint, likely unused and perfectly working Curta Type 2 mechanical calculator with rare prime serial number 525391, indicating that it was manufactured in October 1963. This 60 years old Curta calculator is inabsolutely stunning state for its age. It probably appears to be unused and can therefore be described as being in mint condition.
It is in perfect working state,which means- all levers, buttons and actions move as they should
- it operates correctly in every way even with negative crank turns
- the ten-carrying mechanism works correctly in every position of the carriage
- the clearing lever snaps in very well
- the whole mechanism is smooth and effortless
I performed the testing procedures outlined on the curta.org website and everything is how it is expected.

Curta calculators Type 2 were produced from 1953 through 1970 and continued to be sold until about 1972 when the new electronic pocket calculators came on the market and the Curta could no longer compete.However, it remains an important artifact of mid-20th century engineering and a testament to the ingenuity of its creator.Two different models of the Curta were produced. The Type 1 has a result capacity of 11 digits and the Type 2, which generates results to 15 digits. The Type 2 has an 11 column keyboard, 15 digit results and an 8 digit revolution counter. It is 2.6\" in diameter by 3.6\" long and weighs 12.5 oz.
The Curta was widely used by engineers, scientists, and mathematicians in the years following its release.
