LONG WAVE UVInteresting piece! it has white milky Quartz including a nice double terminated one along with Yellow dogtooth Calcite crystals that are in a vug in Limestone...Ive not seen this combo prior to getting this piece from an estate sale locally here. No location for it it but probably the mid west area is my suspicion. The Quartz fluoresces under long wave UV light and the Calcite has no reaction.. again very different..
The matrix is grey and has no remarkable features to it, I assume its a Limestone but did not try to confirm with any tests.Very nice and unusual collection piece.From ?189 grams.
